After Acuff's reign in Nashville ended Chet was the guy who ruled that town until guys like Waylon Jennings bucked the system and busted up the Nashville Sound monopoly Chet instated there. Now it's ran by a bunch of bean counting city slicker corporate suits that know more about Madison Ave advertising schemes and number crunching than they do about G-chords, G-strings or Gee and Haw. It's all about money and how sexy the new artists can make themselves look in their videos rather than what they sound like! Ironic that they call it Music City and 90% of the people there are tone deaf.
