The October edition of the recorded continuous airing of "Swingin' West" is up on the Internet on twangtownusa.com. It will be on 24 hours a day seven days a week over and over, for the entire month. The theme for this month, October, is a tribute to Western Swing legend Leon Rausch in conjunction with his October 2 birthday. You will hear Leon with the historic Bob Wills and Johnnie Lee Wills bands as well as with Herb Remington, Johnny Gimble and Playboys II and the Texas Playboys under the Direction of the great Leon McAuliffe. In addition, you will hear rare 45 singles by Leon on the Rik, Longhorn, Sims and New Talent labels. You can also enjoy Leon from his wonderful Southland, Derrick and Common Ground CDs as well as with Tom Morrell and the Time-Warp Tophands and Bob Boatright. Also heard will be Leon on vocal with jazz piano great Johnny Case & his Royal Ramblers and also a cut from a rare Jesse Ashlock tribute album. The recorded edition of "Swingin' West" can always be heard by clicking the mouse on the appropriate spot on the bottom of the home page of the "Swingin' West" web site www.swinginwest.com The show starts following a two minute commercial that can be wiped through on your real player device if you prefer. By the way, I was talking and not thinking and made an obvious factual error. See if you can find it! Thank You! Mike Gross
