Leon actually had two of those 4 neck Fender String Masters he referred to as his 'widowmakers' because of their weight in the case with the 4 chrome-steel leg stands that made it weigh upwards of about 80 lbs. Is the one you are talking about serial #0001 by any chance? I carried that one to his car one night after a dance years ago.
