The State Capitol Bldg. is on N.E. 23rd about 3 blocks east of Santa Fe (the dividing line between east & west OKC). 29th is a main section line on the south side of town (Capitol Hill area; not related to the Capitol Bldg.) More music shops were in this area than on N.E. 23rd. So far I haven't found a reference to a Charlie Smith who was in the music business in OKC but have just started. An idea of what approximate time frame it was could speed things up a bit. I have access to the Oklahoma Historical Society's records on such things.
