Frankie Jean was recorded twice as far as I know. One is a previosly unissued number that was made available during the Bear Family box set, but the better of the two is the Tiffany Transcription recording. Interestingly, it was also previously unissued. The Pinson discography in Townsend's book doesn't list either version. The liner notes on Tiffany #3 doesn't specify the recording date, but Junior played guitar on most of the sessions while Eldon played on many as well. Since it is undocumented, and Bob doesn't holler which, I would only be guessing that it's probably Junior, but it could be Eldon I suppose. Great picking on that song! Also the only song with whistling as far as I can remember.
