I listened to Bob Wills (with Leon McAuliffe) on KVOO Tulsa, OK in the late 1940s. Sometime in the early 50s he formed his own band. I don't know if he had split with Bob Wills at that time. I went to one of his dances around Coffeyville, KS sometime in Summer 1951 while on leave from the Air Force.
