Welcome to the site! I am 29 yrs old and I can relate. The music from this time is just "different". My grandfather was a musician and would become irritated if I called his music "country". I understand why now. He hated our "rock n roll", of course, but what I am finding is that this era of music is very bluesy and they were rockin' (so to speak) for their time. The music is very lively...romantic...and just plain fun. The musicians were very talented...not talented via technology...talented via raw talent. I am with you on jammin' to the music from yesteryear. I actually put mine in the walkman and workout to it. I think the old radio shows are especially entertaining...the commercials, the invites to local dance halls...it's awesome. It's something we don't see today...a band actually setting up at the station and playing. We come from a "programmed age." Everything is done easy as possible. Another thing that is also genuine is their dress. Back in the day, musicians dressed as though they were going to work...it was treated as a "job". Today, musicians wear anything. I have to hand it to 'em...they looked sharp! Welcome again to the site. I know you will enjoy it...I have.
