I just wanted to drop a line to say that I think this site and discussion group is GREAT! I'm a 26 year old Morning DJ from Providence, RI and within the last year have absolutely fell in love with Bob Wills and the boys' music. After playing what sounds like pop music with a country twang day after day... it's great to get in my car and toss in an old Bob CD and go back in time to hear some REAL music. I've even got my wife hooked on it. I must say that it's pretty funny to be sitting at a light with the window rolled down and to have "End of the Line" or "Sugar Moon" cranked on my radio... you should see the looks I get! For Christmas, my wife got me a "Best of Bob Wills LP" from 63' off ebay. I was THRILLED! Do you happen to know a good place to grab an even older Bob Wills LP? I want to get a near mint, early recording from the MAN to hang on my wall. I was also wondering if anyone has heard any news on Johnny Gimble. I heard he does shows every now and then... I'd love to see him live one of these days! Happy New Year!
