Hello everyone. I just found this site and must say I really like it! Though I've lived in Wichita Falls practically all my life, I don't remember the old dance hall, Jack Frosts Ranch House. Many of my older musician buddies have played there, however and it's my understanding that that's where Bob Boatright got his start back in the 50's. The dance hall was located on FM369 just a few yards south of the Wichita River, just north of the Mounted Patrol Arena. I grew up very near there and as a knotheaded teen dug up an old ceiling fan out of a pasture and later learned that the pasture was where Jack Frosts Ranch House had been until it burned. (Interestingly, that fan was rebuilt and is still in the family!) You folks keep up the interesting posts and hopefully I'll see some of you at a dance somewhere down the road. Keep on Fiddlin'!! Greg
