In my experience, corresponding with Bear Family in order to order something is no problem, however e-mails asking for future release plans etc. gets no answer. See below for an earlier contribution to the forum from Buddy McPeters: Jason, It's my understanding that the Bear Family Bob Wills box set in the works, which will be Vol II, will pick up where Vol I left off. Vol I contains Bob's Victor recordings from 1932 and his Columbia recordings made from 1935 thru Oct 16, 1947 when Bob Wills made his final Columbia recordings. Vol II will begin the MGM catalog which commenced on Oct 30, fifteen days after the final Columbia session. Vol II will only contain Bob's commercial recordings and NOT transcriptions like the Tiffany's, Fresno Round-Up's, Presto's or other recordings made specifically as radio broadcasts transcribed to be played on a subscription basis. There might be exceptions like there were in Vol I which has a couple of Bob Wills Fresno Round-Up tunes. Bear Family does not own the licensing, (nor will they pay for it), the Tiffany Transcriptions which are owned by the Clifford Sundin Estate and leased to Rhino Records. The Tiffany Transcriptions were recorded from March 25, 1946 thru Dec 30, 1947 after which time a Union strike was called, which was known as the Petrillo ban on recordings, therefore no recordings in 1948. You can see that the Tiffany period overlapped the final year of the Columbia contract and the 1st year of his MGM years. Vol II will hopefully contain all of Bob's commercial recordings made on these labels: MGM (1947-54), Decca (1955-57), Liberty (1960-3), Longhorn (1964-65), Kapp/MCA (1965-69) and his final recording session on United Artists in 1973. There is a possibility that they will include the 1951 Snader Telescriptions, hopefully on DVD, and if not perhaps at least the audio portions which were available on a few budget LP's. Hope this helps. Buddy --------------------
