In your story about Louie Tierney's passing, I knew exactly how it happened. Louie was out driving early one morning, as he did on many occasions, he came upon the railroad track east of Big Spring, and possibly didn't look. That is when the accident happened. He had been working for my Daddy, Mr. Hoyle Nix, and was living in Big Spring at the time of his death. I really don't think he was drinking. It was a tragedy for all of us here that knew him, and a great loss for the Western Swing World. We worked with Bob right after that happened, within 2-3 weeks, and Bob was sad about Louie's passing. I knew Louie well and worked with him several years when I was a kid working with my Dad.
