A Nice Memory

I recently got a hold of a CD reissue of "The Great Bob Wills" alblum. This brought back some good memories from when I was a kid. Back in the 1970's, I would tune in Radio Station KWPR in Claremore, OK. Everyday at 12:30, they would play a half hour of Bob's music (great way to spend your lunch break!) The station would put on of his albums, and with the exception of some commercial spots, let it play through. "The Great Bob Wills" was one of them they played regularly. For the first time, I got to hear the 3-way harmonies of Eldon Shamblin, Tiny Moore, and Herb Remington. And I also got a good dose of Junior Barnard's hot guitar rides. I was learning to play guitar at this time (12-13 years old). So I would tune in the radio, turn on my tape recorder, grab a guitar, and hit the woodshed! A lot of the technique I used as a musician over the next 25 years was built up in this fashion. Any way, I've been playing this CD pretty heavily since I bought it, and I find myself thinking back to those good times when I was a kid. Thanks for the great job on this web site and keep up the good work.
