Steve, They tell that there was once a plaque in the Cowhouse Motor Inn that said that was the last dance Bob played or something to that effect. First time my wife & I saw Leon R was at the old Blue Stem out of Cove July 4th '74. Every time he would finish a song I was up there requesting another and he played them all. We danced every set! Yes Tagg was a great singer. None better than Born to Love You, or Raindrops in The River. But you can sure hear the "nashville country" on the Kapp stuff at times. Maurice Northen over here in Belton has a video of Tagg MC'ing Bob Wills Day @ Turkey about 80-81. Also on it are J. Lee, Hoyle & Jody Nix and others. Gave me a chance to see Hoyle & Tagg live.
