My dad, Dr. R. A. Hill, was a chiropractor in Amarillo from about 1945 until his death in 1966. He and Bob were good friends. Since my dad's office was right on highway 87/287 going north out of town it was convenient for Bob and several members of the Texas Playboys to stop by for an adjustment or just to shoot the breeze. I can remember Kelso coming over to our house and playing our piano. He was tremendous. On one occasion Bob and his son (I can't remember his name although it seems like it may have been Robert) who was about my age (I was born in 1946) went fishing with my dad and I. We went over to someplace around Borger, Texas where they had one of those little lakes stocked with rainbow trout. You could catch them as fast as you could throw a hook in the water. Only problem was they charged you for them by the inch. It tickled my dad because Bob's boy and I got to catching fish so fast that before they got us stopped Bob had ran short of cash and Dad had to bail him out. Those were some great memories. About that time Bob gave me two 45 rpm records. They were pink label, Decca Sample Copies marked not for sale. One had "San Antonio Rose" on one side with "I'll Follow Wherever You Go" on the flip side. The other was "New Osage Stomp" with "Echo Yodel" on the flip. I still have the records. They are probably worth something monetarily, but they are worth a fortune in memories to me. Sorry for the long post. Couldn't help sharing, Lou Hill
