Someone is looking for a list of all who were actually Texas Playboys. Estimates on this count seem to run from 550-650 and I can only name a portion of these. This would be a difficult list to compile, as some stayed with Bob for many years while others stayed only one night. There are still countless others who claimed to have been a Texas Playboy that history can't verify. Anybody have a list with as many as possible?
To be fair, we really can't count the studio musicians like on the Nashville Kapp recordings. The criteria is they had to be paid by Bob and had to have ridden on the bus! We could add this page to the website if anybody can help here, and new names could be added as needed. Thanks!
