Robert and Jim, Thanks for the info- after I asked this question, I got a chance to visit with Casey Dickens- Bob's last drummer and more importantly, a close friend. Casey often visited with Bob in the car trips when one band member rode in the car with Bob, others on the bus. Casey often polled Bob about his "favorite musicians. "For Bob Wills and what Bob liked, Billy was his favorite steel man" (and he had many great ones!) Bob said that Billy would seem to not only give it his all every note but would pick Bob up at times when he was down"
