It is great to read about former band members of the Texas Playboys. I come from a family whose musical heritage goes back several generations. My grandfather and his brothers recorded in New York in the 20's. One of my uncles..Billy Bowman played steel guitar for Bob in the 50s. I guess that explains my love for western swing music and nobody did it better than Bob Wills and The Texas Playboys. Jim Bowman Rogersville,TN
