I just wanted everyone who loves western swing to know that I am including some western swing requests from time to time on "Big Band Saturday Night" on KBEZ. Our show airs Saturday nights from 8pm to midnight. I just completed my eighth year anchoring BBSN. I do feel that western swing was and is a part of the "jazz" genre. Bob Wills used a complete brass section often in his musical arrangements to provide a "jazz feel" to "his sound". Check us out on Saturday nights...on 92.9 FM, KBEZ! I welcome the return of "Big Country" to Tulsa... I'm proud to say that I was there in 1971 when it all began at KVOO. I was news director there until 1991... Keep it swinging!
