My grandfather, John Tompkins Wills, was born December 25, 1880. His parents were Mary Lou Tompkins and William Thomas (Tom) Wills. This Wills family and many relatives lived around Limestone, Freestone, and Leon Counties in Texas before 1900. Tom's great-uncle, George, moved to Missouri. Perhaps this is the connection. I have been working on my family tree and I hope this helps.
