Texas Western Swing Hall of Fame fiddler Ernie Hunter of Houston passed away Tues. Oct 22. He will be buried today Oct 24 in Houston. Ernie had played with The River Road Boys, Blay Ruffino, Pappy Selph, Dickie McBride, Leon Payne, Hank Locklin and many more bands in Texas. In recent years he had played with some of the Texas Playboy groups in Texas. This information was supplied by Western Swing Monthly.
