gene crownover is buried in Little cemetery, about 10 miles north of seminole. he went to school in cromwell, ok. , north of wewoka about 15 miles. ada, gene's momma, told me that marshall bill tillman died in front of their house after being shot at the drugstore. the sheriff from wewoka killed him . they had fought over who was gonna' run the bootleg business around there. there were a lot more facts that should have made the movie. gene's daddy tended bar at night in cromwell. he had to sneak home a different way each night, to keep from being robbed.--------------H---------
