There's a common misconception that both Jack Stidham and Bob Boatright both played for Bob Wills when in fact neither of them ever did. They both played with the Texas Playboys band that Leon McAuliffe put together which was later billed as The Original Texas Playboys. Jack played fiddle with them at Turkey, TX along with Keith Coleman and Johnny Gimble in 1976.
