Hank Thompson's bandleaders

I'm curious as to whether anyone has much info on the role of bandleader for Hank Thompson? A good portion of the 1950s had Billy Gray in this role, Gray of course left for a time in the mid 1950s to front his own band, but did return to work with Hank. I've noticed that Curtis Potter has been listed as Thompson's bandleader from 1959-1971 when he left to concentrate on his own solo career on Dot Records. The thing is, I'm sure that Billy Gray is the bandleader on 'Golden Nuggett' live album from 1961 with a band including Bobby Garrett, Junior Nichols, Round Boy Stewart, a small horn section, etc. Is the year that Potter joined incorrect, I'm sure I saw it on one of his bios. Does anyone have info on Hank's bandleaders after Potter, or had Hank simply trimmed the band to the point where he didn't bother appointing one? Thanks all.. J
