I have the book by Jean Boyd. While the information is helpful, it became evident that the book is made up of research done by other researchers and was republished by Boyd. There are many internal conflicts with dates, etc. that are inconsistent with there being one researcher.
Still I thought the book was worth having in my collection. Can't wait to hear Buddy's review of this book, as Jean Boyd quoted an article he had written on Junior Barnard. We'll let Buddy handle that story.
I've never heard of that other book you mentioned from Bob to Ray Benson. There is a book I have that was a waste of money titled "Bob Wills - His Life-Times-Music" by H.Ed Hurt. (It made my H.ed Hurt). Lots of conflicts within itself, truckloads of typos, and the book is "fiction-based-on-fact" which was a big disappointment, especially at the high price for a paperback book. Researchers don't want fiction.
'Nuff said.
