Don't know abou that, but did find out about a recently-released interview of Bob which is reportedly extensive. Haven't popped for it yet, so can't vouch, but from <www.bobwills.com> : Bob Wills Interview - CDTo pay by mail, please send check or money order in the amount of $7.99 to: bobwills.com attn: Interview 11511 Queens Way Austin TX 78759 The previously unreleased field tape recording of Bob Wills recounting, in his own words, the experiences of his life and career! Bob Wills fan and former musician, Mr. Ray Riggs of Florida, made the recording on a reel-to-reel tape deck at a hotel in Fresno, California, circa 1949 during a Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys visit. Mr. Riggs has kept the recording for all these years with the hope of finding the right hands with which to entrust it for posterity. He was eventually put in touch with us here at www.bobwills.com by a friend, Mr. Gary Frietag, also of Florida. Now, this 36 minute recording of Bob Wills' own voice discussing his life and music is digitized and re-mastered to provide the earliest known conversational recording of this Swing music legend. Note: While the version you receive is indistinguishable from the original, this recording captures the essence of the time and circumstances in which it was recorded and stored, so be prepared for occasional audible distortion and less-than-optimal acoustics of the room where it was recorded. Equipment: This is an mp3 recorded on a CD-R and will not play on CD players that do not support this file format or disc type. It is primarily intended for use on your computer and provided as an alternative to downloading the file. You must have a CD reader in order to play this on your PC. It will play like any audio mp3, and you may save it on any computer you call home.
