I heard on the radio today that while he was working in his garden yesterday, Mel Tillis learned he will go into the hall of fame in nashville this fall. Can't say much for the state of the cma these days. BUT Mel put out some great music years ago. Both as a writer and a singer. I danced to a many of 'em!(Old Faithful) And his band the Statesiders was always a great band that could hold it's own in any Western Swing arena! Being the first version I ever heard, I liked his cut of Faded Love with Bob Wills the best. Congrats to MMMMMMMMMel and The Statesiders!
