I saw the post about J.F.R.H. last week before the Bandwidth problem. Back in the late 1950's (around '57 t0 '59) my dad played in his nephew's Western Swing Band there. Although we knew it as the Jack Frost Ballroom at the time, I am sure it was the same place. I was just a little kid at the time, but I remember the large building with the wide wooden floor. As you steppped through the door, there was something, it may have been a wall, that prevented you from seeing the stage. When you walked to the right, there was an open topped Coke box filled with 6oz bottles of Coke for a dime (15 cents if you wanted a cup of ice). Around the corner fom the Coke box, the building opened up onto the Ballroom floor. The bands played on a raised stage at the farr end of the hall. There were chairs around the walls, and the older children were allowed to sit/watch/and or dance to the music according to their ability and their parents nerves. I have been looking for photos of the old building (inside or out), any history on it and the bands that played there. My dad's nephew was Melton Franklin, and he was a Barber in W.F. for years. ANY HELP WOULD BE MOST WELCOMED. Jim R.
