As a dancer and music lovin' non-musician Tom Morrell's How the West Was Swung series had everything to do with my falling in love with Western Swing and devoting my life to making sure everyone knows about the Timewarp Tophands and all the rest of the great Western Swing bands of today and yesteryear. Mike Gross is so right when he says "The Wolf" is a genius. That he is. He's also been a friend to me and always sincerely expressed his appreciation to me and those like me who support all the great musicians like him and try to spread the good word of Western Swing. I had the opportunity to work for the TWTH's when I first relocated to Texas and it was a true honor. When the good Lord finally takes our friend, he's gonna be in good company with Leon McAuliffe and the like. Just imagine. The heavens will truly be swingin'!! Tommy, you've made such a huge contribution to the world of music. You're life amounted to so much and affected mine and so many others lives in such a positive way. I hope you know that and how much you were loved and respected. God bless.....
